Twinkle Star
Childcare/Preschool
Hello, my name is Jill Smith. Humbly serving the valley for more than 7 years as a daycare/preschool owner and a provider myself. My Bachelors degree is not in education, it is Accountancy, but my heart beats toward service not numbers. I easily found this out while working for 7 years for the largest Christian organization serving the blind in the Philippines where I passionately sought people who were willing to make a difference in a blind child’s life through sponsorship. Blind kids were able to go to school because of these generous people who helped them achieve their fullest potential in life. Resources for the Blind Inc. or www.blind.org.ph with its unique preschool for the visually impaired kids inspired me to make an impact to invest in the lives of children.
Becoming a mom was pivotal to my calling, where a natural tendency to love afforded me the ability to nurture and teach. And I know that I am not letting go of my son just yet, so I talked with my husband if I could start an in home daycare where I can share my love, and teaching ability to other kids while taking care of our son. Without hesitation my husband backed me up. Very shortly from the time I opened, fellow moms who have known me helped spread the word about our daycare prompting us to expand and hire more teachers.
I find great joy in being an important part in each of our children's lives. I am also deeply humbled and honored with the trust that each parent gives me when they leave their precious little ones in my care. Something that I take very seriously.
I am committed to making my home safe, making sure that each child is well taken cared of like my own, bringing them laughter, fueling their curiosity as we explore together the world around them and giving them love that will remain for years to come.
